Not being on a meal plan is the greatest thing ever, I could eat better and have total control over picking what I wanted to eat (It's also a lot more like real life, hello adulthood….). That being said, I definitely need to plan ahead when I know I can't just go home to eat. I make sure to pack snacks for the day so that I don't get HANGRY. Here's what a typical day looks like for me when I leave at 7:30am and I'm not home until 4:30pm.
7:00 Breakfast at home
8:00- 9:40am Class
9:45am SNACK
granola bar
10:30 to 12:10 Class
12:15 LUNCH
turkey sandwich (with tomato, cucumber slices, and hummus on multigrain) or salad (spinach, turkey slices, tomato, cucumber, blackberries, blue cheese), carrots, and I save my apple until right before my next class
2:20- 4:00 Class
Planning ahead like this not only saves money (meal plans are a rip off) but also prevents me from getting HANGRY in class.
