Maple syrup is an awesome natural sweetener and doesn't have to be unhealthy if you pick a pure version and use in moderation.
Maple syrup is an awesome natural sweetener and doesn't have to be unhealthy if you pick a pure version and use in moderation.
Ingredients:
Half an apple, diced
(I suggest red- gala, macintosh, empire)
1/2 tbsp. Pure Maple Syrup
1/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in a microwave safe bowl that has a lid that can be vented (or use saran wrap, or a plastic ziploc bag)
2. Micrwave for 1 minute
3. Stir. Microwave for an additional minute or until soft.
